Walker Art Center

When it contracted with ESP, Walker Art Center in Minneapolis had large expansion plans that required new streams of revenue. The existing packages the venue was offering to sponsors were undervaluing its assets, as was its practice of granting marketing benefits to donors.

ESP inventoried the center’s assets, identified its most marketable assets and designed a multi-tiered packaging strategy that provided solutions to various business challenges, including year-round partner, promotional and donor opportunities.

As a result, Walker Art Center transitioned two major donors into sponsors, increasing revenue (now unrestricted) from the two companies by 181 percent over what they had been contributing as donors.
